A PLACE IN HEAVEN
IS THERE A PLACE IN HEAVEN
WHERE DOGS COMPANIONS GO?
BEFORE I'D WANT TO GO THERE
I'D REALLY LIKE TO KNOW.
A BEING PURE OF SPIRIT
AND A BEING WITHOUT SIN
IS SURELY ONE THAT SHOULD BE THERE
BUT DOES GOD LET HIM IN?
THE THEOLOGIANS ARGUE
A SOUL IS WHAT THEY LACK
BUT ONE WHO'S ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU
SHOULD BE GIVEN SOMETHING BACK
I COULD NOT FACE ETERNITY
WITHOUT PAWS AND TAILS
AND IF THAT'S WHAT RELIGION THINKS
THEN THAT IS WHERE IT FAILS
I HOPE GOD DOESN'T LET ME DOWN
I'M SURE HE KNOWS THEIR WORTH
FOR WE WHO HAVE BEEN LOVED BY THEM
HAVE HEAVEN HERE ON EARTH.
WRITTEN BY
JANIS DIEBERT
High up in the
courts of heaven today
A little dog angel waits;
with the other angels he will not play,
but he sits alone at the gates,
"For I know that my master will come,"says he,
"And when he comes he will call for me."
And his master far on the earth below,
As he sits in his easy chair,
tattoo 9 weeks old
Forgets sometimes, and he whistles low
For the dog that is not there:
And the little dog angel cocks his ears
And dreams that his master's call he hears.
And I know that at last when his master waits
Outside, in the dark and cold
for the hand of death to open the gates
that lead to though's courts of gold,
The little dog angels' eager bark
Will comfort his soul in the shivering dark.

Ok, I have 1000's of pictures of tattoo, but these are the ones I like best.
they kinda show his personility, He was a loving little guy, with a big heart
He loved to play with squeek toys, and Tennis balls, and play tug of war.
He was 14 years old when he passed away, on June 19th 2008
but before he left, he did leave me 4 little fiesty little puppies
two brindle like him, and two black and tans.

ANOTHER POEM I LIKE
THE DASH
by Linda Ellis
I read of a man who stood to speak
at the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
from the beginning ...to the end
He noted that first came the date of her birth
and spoke of the following date with tears,
but he said what mattered most of all
was the dash between those years.
For that dash represents all the time
that she spent alive on earth
and now only those who loved her
know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not, how much we own,
the car....the house....the cash.
what matters is how we live and love
and how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard;
are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
that can still be rearranged.
If we could just slow down enough
to consider what's true and real
and always try to understand
the way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger
and show appreciation more
and love the people in our lives
like we've never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect
and more often wear a smile...
remembering that this special dash
might only last a little while.
So when your eulogy is being read
with your life's actions to rehash,
would you be proud of the things they say
about how you spent your Dash?
